Incredible Value. Better Than Luminox.Apr 18, 2012
By Amazon Addict
I've wanted a simple analog rubber band watch ever since I got rid of my overpriced Luminox watch that I didn't like much. This watch is the perfect size on my wrist: not too big, not too small. The white background makes it easy to read. The bezel uses friction instead of clicks to turn, which makes the bezel easier to turn than a Luminox, but not so easy to turn that it would get bumped and turn accidentally. It has a date and day of the week function, which I wanted. Many simple analog watches don't have the day of the week function. The band is good quality and not uncomfortable. Some rubber watch bands can be stiff and uncomfortable, this band is flexible and even a bit soft. The band is a generous size, but has many notches to adjust the fit, and could fit any wrist size. For the price, I can't think of a better analog watch you can buy.
Update: my battery died, which was expected since it's rated as only 2 years. I just removed the backing and located the batteries here on Amazon, so I thought I'd share a link to help others who need a replacement battery: Maxell Watch Battery Button Cell SR626SW SR-626SW 377 Pack of 5 Batteries As of right now, they cost less than $0.50 each when purchased in a 5-pack. Replacing yourself sure beats paying a watch shop to do it for you! All you need is a tiny screwdriver to remove the back, then lift the white plastic cover, and pop-out the battery using your tiny screwdriver.

great waterproof sports watchSep 13, 2012
Bought this watch so i could keep track of time while at the gym and pool. It is a robust tough watch. I do an hour in the gym the go to the steam room or the sauna for 15-20 minutes, do a few laps, the back to the sauna, to the pool again and then to the saltwater spa and the showers. It has stood up to the extremes of sauna, steam to cold pool, the warm hydro therapy pool and the salt water spa, I have no issues recommending this to anyone who is searching for a waterproof sports watch. I did research other more expensive watches, tag heuer, omega, tissot, figured that i would sooner lose pennies rather than big dollars if the watch seals failed and let the waters come flooding in. Most watch retailers tell you not to wear your watch in the hot shower or sauna and with an expensive watch i would agree, so buy this sweet casio and enjoy the gym, spa and pool. Sold

takes a beatingJan 15, 2013

I bought this watch for work in Antarctica. I wear it on the outside of my parka, strapped to a VHF radio. It takes serious abuse: snow, rain, ice, hurricane winds, bitter cold. Works great.
UPDATE NOVEMBER 2014- Still ticking, keeping great time. The bezel is almost impossible to rotate now, but i don't care as I don't use that feature. Best bargain watch around.
UPDATE MARCH 2015: This amazing watch continues to keep perfect time. The small retaining loop that holds the end of the band broke off, and a new band is almost as much as a new watch, so I'll probably replace this watch with another exact model.

for it's price...Sep 10, 2012

I wanted a watch I could surf with and that wouldn't attract the attention of the average mugger.
It does the job. I changed the hard plastic strap for a nylon webbing one. Minuses: it scratches easily and is a pain to read in the dark. But then again, for it's price...
No real trouble with the date.
UPDATE: battery dead after only 8 months. Let's see how the seal performs from now on...

Tough & FunctionalAug 24, 2012

"travelling for fun"
Got this for my working-outside husband ... He didn't like leather straps (because he sweats) nor the digital LCDs (because he has to squint). This worked great - the white dial-face really stood-out so he can see the time quickly. The date is kinda tiny, but he doesn't often need to check the date. Good price for something simple.
